RIP Steve Jobs
The world is at a loss today, October 5, 2011. As Apple.com says, “Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being.”
The best and most comprehensive article I found so far is from The Wall Street Journal, read here. The article paints Steve Jobs as who he was. He has left a couple of legacy, Apple and Pixar. A college dropout, a perfectionist, a straight-forward, focused visionary with high standard all around. I wonder if Apple will ever be the same. Can Tim Cook perform as well as his predecessor? Somehow I doubt it. It’s one of those thing, either you have it, or you don’t. And based on Tim Cook’s keynote performance during the iPhone 4S, it’s going to be a tough fight for Apple.
